This study aims to demonstrate that the two examined texts, Le Goût des confitures by Bob Oré Abitbol and Tangers, les miens et les autres by Mary Abécassis Obadia, regardless of their style and intention, have as their source a collective memory, exile and the desire for integration into a new host country. The adventure of the writing thus becomes a part of a greater will where what is at stake is nothing less than the affirmation of a francophone and judaeo-sepharadic identity within a country that reveals a cultural and ethnic pluralism.
