Abstract
- The article focuses on the findings of an analysis on the tax and securities filings of 60 hospital chains in the U.S. which have received government bailout funds aimed to stabilize them during the coronavirus pandemic. Topics covered include the majority of the hospitals have laid off, furloughed or reduce the salaries of employees to save money during the pandemic, and the more funding received by rich hospitals serving wealthy patients compared to those that treat low-income patients.
