OCORRÊNCIA DO DIAGNÓSTICO DE ENFERMAGEM SÍNDROME DE TERMINALIDADE EM PACIENTES ONCOLÓGICOS.

Abstract

Objective: to identify the nursing diagnosis Terminality Syndrome in patients in oncologic palliative care. Methods: crosssectional study developed at the National Cancer Institute - INCA with 217 patients. Results: female (57.1%), age 61-70 (33,6%) oropharynx cancer (23.6%) breast (23.4%). The main diagnoses found as syndrome components were: Chronic pain (83.9%); Nausea (76%) and Unbalanced Nutrition: lower than body needs (76%); Fatigue (75.5%), Anxiety (72.0%), Ineffective respiratory pattern (44,0%); Impaired comfort (53.4%), Spiritual distress (42,0%), Constipation (49,0%); Sleep pattern disturbance (28.5%). As related factors: Palliative care (100%) and advanced disease (100%). Conclusion: study demonstrated the occurrence of terminality syndrome simultaneously and in conjunction. With this, nurses have in their nursing process a syndromic diagnosis that provides accurate clinical judgment in palliative care. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
