Abstract
- The article discusses research which analyzed the views of U.S. healthcare providers on the status of their capacity to offer compassionate healthcare compared with 2010. Topics covered include the changes in their attitudes towards their respective professions, the relationship between compassion and clinician burnout, the contributing factors of burnout, and suggestions for combating the burnout phenomenon with greater compassion.
