Abstract

This article focuses on sexual boundary violations that occur in supervisory relationships. Sexual boundary violations in professional relationships are harmful and often emotionally devastating to the parties involved. These violations thwart growth and development which is understood to be a central purpose of these professional relationships. Nonetheless, destructive violations continue to persist; sexual boundary violations constitute the largest percentage of overall boundary violations occurring in professional relationships.
