Estudio de comunicación e imagen en públicos universitarios acerca de resultados investigativos de la Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil.

This paper discusses the situation of science and technology communication at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil. A sampling of students, faculty and staff were asked about their knowledge of research projects conducted at the University, and channels through which these were communicated to them. It was found that most of them had no knowledge of such projects, and that these were communicated face to face, and neither print media, radio, television nor digital media were used for that. This showed the need for a comprehensive communication strategy to be adopted, so research results could be widely spread at the University, which would increase students, faculty and staff's knowledge of their institution, and their motivation for doing research.
