Abstract

Teacher's in-class applications are significant for the effectiveness of curriculum. These applications are to be conducive to the existing philosophy and design of curriculum. The purpose of this study is to explore in-class applications of teachers working in four different countries and to discuss their appropriateness in accordance with their CD (Curriculum design) and philosophy preferences. The sample consists of 70 teachers coming together due to a European Union Project. This mixed method study's participants are the teachers teaching at public schools in Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey. The findings revealed that there are significant differences in the participants' program design and philosophy and in-class applications. There are some differences by countries in terms of teachers' practices in the dimensions of the core element in the curriculum, learning-teaching process and measurement and evaluation approaches.
