Abstract

This paper makes an attempt to introduce energy consumption variable into economic growth model as an input factor in energy economic analysis by taking into consideration China's marine economic zones as the research object. In order to avoid the model setting errors, a semi-parametric linear model comprising of the parametric part to elucidate the impact of capital stock and human capital on the economic growth, and the non-parametric part to explain the impact of energy consumption on the economic growth, is constructed. This paper makes an empirical study on the northern, eastern and southern marine economic zones, and describes in detail the fitting results, monotonicity, convexity of the curve and characteristics of the dynamic changes. By analyzing the concavity and convexity of the fitting curve, the basic form of the energy consumption factors in the production function can be defined fuzzily, and the second derivative shows positive and negative changes under the dynamic time point. Finally, the paper discusses energy economy from production factor input and production factor efficiency. • Designs a semi-parametric partial linear model. • Model indicators include energy, Labor, Capital stock and Human Capital. • Uses first-order and second derivatives to analyze monotonicity and convexity.
