Abstract

The article presents a report on how social conditions of China have changed. Like sturdy kaolicing stalks, the Chinese people would bend briefly in the wind of new vicissitudes, but the good earth of China would somehow, in the end, steady their roots as it had so many times before. In China, however, the supple spirit of the people--active, usually cheerful, sometimes feckless--tended to obscure the glacier-like process of erosion and social change. During the past decade, the Chinese world have never truly met on a mature basis of Communists have gone far in converting the heterogene-mutual respect and confidence.
