Abstract

The functions of Human Resource are greatly affected by the prevalent phenomena of discrimination at workplaces. There are different types of discrimination and an in-depth analysis of gender-based, age-based, and race-based discrimination has been conducted to analyze their presence in the pharmaceutical industry of Thailand and their impact on the employees' job satisfaction and performance. The study has used quantitative data analysis method and 300 questionnaires were distributed among the employees of pharmaceutical companies. The results have shown that all three types of discrimination negatively impact the job satisfaction and performance of employees. However, in the case of the pharmaceutical industry of Thailand, only race-based discrimination has been found. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
