Abstract

The article focuses on English playwright Aphra Behn and her dramatic canon. Topics include importance of text selection in non-traditional authorship-attribution studies, sub-genres are of almost equal importance in reducing experimental noise, Behn constrains the selection of dramatic texts to only comedies, and editorial interpolation that must be removed by deferring to the earliest edition for stylistic studies.
