Abstract

This paper investigates the most effective digital stimuli (digital zoom and color cueing) used in the treatment of online academic content, with synchronous and asynchronous communication, in a mobile environment. This aims to explore their impact on developing postgraduates’ statistical data analysis skills and their attitude towards them, as well as on developing their self-efficiency. The sample comprises 48 postgraduates at the Faculty of Specific Education, Tanta University, Egypt. The participants were divided into 4 experimental groups. The academic content was available online via mobile phones. The results showed significant differences at 0.05 between the means of the experimental groups who handled the online, mobile, digitally treated content in the summative assessment, the product assessment card and self-efficiency scale in favor of the groups who studied the zoom-treated content rather than those who handled the spot-treated content. Other statistically significant differences were reported based on the modes of online communication and their attitude towards them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
