The article presents information about abstracts of various papers that will be discussed at the Discussion Group of the 6th European Congress on Epileptology that will be held on June 1, 2004. One of the papers that will be discussed is "Possibility of Overcoming Pharmacoresistance," by W. Loscher. A significant proportion of individuals with temporal lobe epilepsy suffer from pharmacoresistant epilepsy despite early treatment and an optimum daily dosage of an adequate antiepileptic drug. Thus, there is a clear need for new drugs or new strategies of therapeutic management. Other papers that will be discussed are "Interference via Network Involvement During Epileptogenesis," by A. Nehlig and "Place of Anti-inflammatory Strategies," by A.Vezzani, S. Balosso, S. Di Fazio, S.M. Lucas and S.M. Allans.
