Abstract

The article presents information about abstracts of various papers that will be discussed at the Discussion Group of the 6th European Congress on Epileptology that will be held on June 2, 2004. One of the papers that will be discussed is "Temporal Lobe Epilepsies, Recent Concepts," by C. Baumgartner. Temporal lobe epilepsies-the most frequent form of focal epilepsies-can be classified according to etiology, location of the seizure-onset zone within the temporal lobe and bilaterality. Other papers that will be discussed are "Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy: Seizures of Hippocampal Onset," by H.G. Wieser and "The Role of Amygdala and Temporal Polar Area," by P. Kahane.
