Abstract
- The article presents information about abstracts of various papers that will be discussed at the Discussion Group of the 6th European Congress on Epileptology that will be held on June 3, 2004. One of the papers that will be discussed is "Focal Seizure Semiology in Generalised Epilepsies," by I. Unterberger. Idiopathic generalised epilepsies (IGEs) are defined by generalised epileptic seizures, in which the first clinical features and EEG patterns indicate initial involvement in both hemispheres. There should be no evidence for an underlying brain pathology on MRI. Other papers that will be discussed are "Focal EEG Signs in Generalised Epilepsies," by F. Leutmezer and "Focal Structural Abnormalities in Generalised Epilepsies," by M.J. Koepp.
