The article presents information about abstracts of various papers that will be discussed at the Platform Session of the 6th European Congress on Epileptology that will be held on June 1, 2004. One of the papers that will be discussed is "Heterogeneous Ictal Electro-Clinical Features of Infantile Spasms," by H. Hwang. Although infantile spasms (IS) are the most common catastrophic epileptic encephalopathy of infancy, the basic mechanism of ictal semiology and EEG has not been fully understood. Researchers investigated the ictal electro-clinical features of IS. Other papers that will be discussed are "Febrile Seizures in Preterm Population: Is There a Cascade From Initial Injury to Epilepsy?" by E.A. Herrgard and "The Electroclinical Spectrum of Panayiotopoulos Syndrome," by I. Manidakis.
