Abstract
- Synthesis of unequally spaced arrays with uniform excitation is considered in this article. An iterative method based on second-order cone programming is developed to search the geometry with local optimum peak sidelobe level (PSLL), which is valid for arrays of different scale regardless of geometry constraints like centrosymmetry and minimum separation. By statistical analysis and comparison with other methods, it is verified that the computational complexity of the proposed method is only related to the dimension of optimization variables, and it can further exploit the potential of unequally spaced arrays with uniform excitation under acceptable complexity.
