Abstract

【Objective】This paper constructed the urban land use efficiency index system.【Methods】The present situation of urban land use efficiency in Hebei province from 2008 to 2017 was analyzed by means of CCR model,hyperefficient DEA model and Malmquist index.【Results】The average land use efficiency of cities in Hebei province byDEA model was 0.961 and 0.913 from 2008 to 2017, respectively.In terms of the time dimension under the hyperefficient DEA model,the average annual land use efficiency in Hebei province from 2008 to 2017 was the lowest in 2010 and the highest in 2017.In the spatial dimension,the average land utilization rate of cities in Hebei province from 2007 to 2018 was 0.905-1.391,the highest in Tangshan,and the lowest in Baoding.Using the Malmquist total factor change index,the average land use efficiency in Hebei province from 2008 to 2017 was 1.011,with the average annual increase of 1.1 %.【Conclusion】The use of advanced science and technology and information management tools could strengthen the control of urban land area,revitalize stocks and increase government supervision,thereby further improving urban land use efficiency and making urban land use develop in a direction of smart growth.
