Abstract

In this paper, the influence of the asperity interaction is considered based on the contact stiffness model in mixed lubrication. The influence of surface topography parameters on normal contact stiffness is analyzed by simulation. And the proposed contact stiffness fractal model is compared with the model without considering the asperity interaction. Results of the mathematical analysis shows that the contact stiffness of the joint surface in mixed lubrication is larger than that of the dry joint surface; contact stiffness of the mixed lubrication is obviously affected by the surface topography; the predicted curve of the proposed model is closer to reality.
