Abstract
- A SiO 2 cladding LYSO:Ce scintillation fiber is fabricated by the improved rod-in-tube method. The radiation sensing characterizations are studied by electron irradiation experiments, including time response, dose response, the influence of the factors such as the fiber length and the distance between radiation source and fiber on the radiation responses. Good electron radiation sensing characterization is found, which contributes to improve the radiation sensing and real-time detection of scintillation fiber, and to miniaturize the sensing system. • SiO 2 cladding LYSO:Ce scintillation fiber is fabricated by the I-RIT method. • Electron radiation sensing characterization of LYCF is studied. • Good sensing repeatability of the LYCF is found.
