Effectiveness of dental implants placed into microvascular free flaps.

The article discusses a study of the effectiveness of oral implant placement after maxillofacial reconstruction with microvascular free flaps. The study involved 23 head and neck cancer patients who were treated at the University of Milan's Department of Oral Science and Maxillofacial Surgery between 2008 and 2019. Results include the factors that might affect implant survival (IS) including the bone quality and radiotherapy, and the relationship between IS and the location of placement.
