Abstract

The article focuses on basic statements about season of year in the poem "Maxims II" followed by purport concerning human life in social context. Topics discussed include adjectives attested in the Old English (OE), semantic shift from ‘truth' to ‘justice explicable in legal context, and note taken by dictionaries of polysemy exhibited by the words.
