Abstract

The article discusses that strategies such as organising pupils in groups, learning by discovery, Rosenshine's teaching principles or direct instruction have a significant ‘effect size'. Topics include the recipe choice makes the method readily researchable; and implementation has easily recognisable in any given lesson or lessons.
