While Sûfîs interpreting the Qur'an, they acted according to the interpretation theory they developed. This interpretation can follow a course from literal meaning to esoteric meaning. Sometimes they have expanded the meaning of text(nass), and sometimes they have restricted the meaning by acting exclusively. The interpretations of Sûfîs, which evolved from the literal meanings of words to connotation or metaphorical meanings, can be said to have been made to elucidate matters that were in fact closed. It can be said that they have created a language unique to them in these aspects, and that the possibility of understanding and healing it is possible by passing the declaration interpretation criteria. In order to protect the bâtinî (esoteric) interpretations, which are the walking leg of the interpretation of wisdom, from falsification, the conditions of interpretation have been set out and a purpose has been aimed at the healthy functioning of the interpretation mechanism. When the Sûfîs interpreted the Qur'an, they incorpareted into tafseers some of the meanings that they called işarah (signs).
