Abstract

In order to solve the security and scalability of centralized management of large-scale IoT devices, this paper proposed a scalable management framework for lightweight IoT devices based on blockchain technology. The framework used a blockchain network, deployed smart contracts in the network to provide an operational interface for device management, used device managers to separate lightweight Io T devices from block chain networks, and improved Byzantine fault tolerance in blockchains, the algorithm( PBFT) consistency protocol added a dynamic election mechanism. The simulation experiments verify the performance and mechanism scalability of the improved consensus algorithm. The results show that the mechanism has good scalability, and the device manager can respond to about 1 000 requests per second. Compared with the traditional PBFT algorithm, the improved algorithm improves transaction throughput, reduces transaction latency, and reduces communication overhead. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
