Abstract

In order to solve the problem of network service interruption caused by random failure of the substrate physical node in the network function virtualization environment, this paper proposed a service function chain deployment method with network service reliability and delay constraint to ensure the reliability of network service. Firstly, the method adopted a backup mechanism for resource sharing of adjacent virtual network function backup instances and a single-path and multi-path hybrid routing strategy. Then, it established a mixed integer linear programming model for the service chain reliability deployment problem under delay constraints and designed a service function chain deployment algorithm based on K shortest path extension. The simulation results show that the proposed method reduces the node and bandwidth resource overhead and improves the network service request acceptance rate compared with the existing methods.
