Car Culture and Systemic Racism Collide.

The article examines the systemic racism against Black Americans by police officers in terms of traffic enforcement in the U.S. It presents studies which conclude that Black Americans face more than twice than whites of racial discrimination, threat or use of physical force, and minor traffic violations can be deadly. It suggests to de-escalation or remove police from traffic enforcement, hire more people of colors, and hold them accountable of their actions.
