Abstract

To resolve the problems of the operating environment of a 110 kV and 220 kV high voltage transformer substation and the failure characteristics of devices in a substation, a method of combining the transformable track mobile platform and robot arm is applied, and a mobile robot is designed that can adapt to the operating environment of high voltage substation, achieve comprehensive monitoring and determine. The robot can monitor and detect various parameters of environmental variables parameter in the substation, such as temperature, humidity, SF6 gas, etc. The control system of comprehensive robot operation and detection is developed, the application experiments are conducted, and the mobility and the validity of the monitoring data are verified. The research results show that the mobile robot can automatically work and meet the comprehensive monitoring requirements.
