Impedance spectroscopy method of studying the pitting electrochemical characteristics.

The main regularities of changes in the electrochemical characteristics of 10X17H13M2T steel surface using the impedance spectroscopy method have been investigated. The adequacy of the electrical equivalent circuit for studying the corrosion system impedance characteristics at the pitting boundary was confirmed. The electrochemical parameters of the steel to be tested in 0.1 mol/L NaCl solution corresponding to the boundaries of the passive, metastable and locally active surface states were determined.
