After a short introduction that provides an explanation of the analytical approach to the subject-matter, the paper focuses on the practical aspect of the theory of literature and film, the narratological analysis. Three fairy-tales in literary and cinematic art form are analysed: Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, and Sister Alenushka and Brother Ivanushka.
