Abstract

B Background: b Facial emotional recognition (FER) is a domain of social cognition representing the capacity to recognize emotions that other people are experiencing based on their facial expressions [1]. The aim of our study was to investigate possible correlations between the impaired FER and functionality and quality of life in patients with FEP. Therefore, specific treatment interventions targeting FER could possibly help in achieving functional remission and improve patients' quality of life. [Extracted from the article]
