Abstract
- The article discusses the efforts to achieve political change in the Middle East that started with the Arab uprisings in late 2010 and early 2011. Also cited are some democratization accomplishments like the toppling of dictators like Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia, Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, and Yemen's Ali Abdullah Saleh, and the effects of the uprisings to political systems, ideologies, international relations, and individual attitudes.
