Abstract
- The article profiles the agricultural technology and big data startup firm FarmWise with a focus on its automation of agricultural labor. The history of satellite imagery of agricultural land is reviewed, the alleged economical impact of digital sensing and measurement for farmers is investigated, and environmental issues caused by overuse of irrigation water and nitrogen fertilizers are identified.
