Abstract
- The current paper aims at preparing novel anti-freeze hybrid nanofluids in EG as based fluid via dispersion of synthesized nanocomposites mesoporous silica adjusted with Cu NPs (Cu/SBA-15). FTIR, SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, and XPS were used for characterizing the developed nanocomposite. The present study mainly aims at measuring the thermal conductivity of SBA-15 decorated with Cu nanoparticles EG-based hybrid nanofluid at 25–50 °C and a nanocomposites weight fraction concentration of 0.017% to 0.064%. The research findings indicated thermal conductivity enhancement of the hybrid nanofluid at optimum temperatures and concentrations of the nanocomposite. It is suggested these hybrid nanofluids are used as a promising choice in thermal engineering systems. Ultimately, the empirical data were utilized for indicating a correlation as a function of the nanocomposite concentration and temperature and calculating the thermal conductivity ratio of modified SBA-15 with Cu NPs.
