Abstract

Experimental viscosity data were obtained for ethyl lactate + acetonitrile mixtures at five temperatures. Viscosity deviations and activation parameters of viscous flow have been calculated. Values obtained suggest that the inter and intramolecular hydrogen bonds of ethyl lactate are affected by the electron pair in the nitrogen atom of acetonitrile. The obtained data have been correlated through several approaches proposed in the literature, namely, the Grunberg – Nissan, the Katti – Chaudri, the Teja – Rice, and the Herráez approaches of, for dynamic viscosities.
