The paper discusses Ernest Bernea's legionary past, focusing on its consequences and the post-war fate of the sociologist. I take into consideration his activity as a member of the Legionary Movement, his journalistic activity from the Rânduiala magazine, as well as the time he spent at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the light of the communist authorities' subsequent attitude, highlighting the post-war fate of the Gusti school's member, which was profoundly marked by this legionary drift.
