Abstract

The objective of the present research is to outline the panorama of quantitative methods employed in research on the measurement of absorptive capacity. The sample of this study is composed by eight articles. It is a bibliographical research, with bibliometric analysis, whose results show that most of the publications analyzed use non-parametric hypothesis tests and confirmatory factor analysis, with 87.5% and 75% of occurrences, respectively. Cronbach's alpha was the most mentioned method of reliability analysis - of data collection instrument - (87.5%). Four studies created their instrument of data collection, and only one of them did not indicate about the pre-test. The most recurrent variable was the "flow of knowledge between units", a term supported by the literature. Finally, although not all publications clarify in detail their methodological choices, it was possible to quantify certain occurrences, which could support future research on quantitative research concerning the subject of measurement of absorptive capacity.
