Abstract
- The article presents a case study on the copyright of comedy and virtual identity standard. It highlights the role copyright protection and intellectual property law in policing infringement of comedian's material. It discusses the U.S. district court case Kaseberg v. Conaco, LLC, of the year 2017 in which a freelance comedian sued U.S. television host Conan O'Brien for alleging joke theft.
