Facial aging is a complex process that takes place in three dimensions. Over time, significant changes occur in the skin and subcutaneous tissues. As a result of these changes, the face oval is disrupted. The interest in non-surgical methods is increasing with each passing year in the elimination of the signs of aging. As a result, the number of procedures is gradually increasing. One of the important points to be considered in filler applications is to take holistic approach instead of focusing on a single area. Because the changes occurring in each anatomical area of the face also leads to direct or indirect changes in other anatomical areas. Ideal injection techniques have been described for each region. These techniques have been developed considering anatomy, tissue plan intended to insert the filler, injection device (needle, cannula), density of filler material and its behavior in the tissue. As practitioners' experience in this field increases, different application techniques continue to be defined.
