- B Author Information b An event is serious (based on the ICH definition) when the patient outcome is: * death * life-threatening * hospitalisation * disability * congenital anomaly * other medically important event A 79-year-old woman developed sub-ungual scabies during immunosuppressive treatment with prednisone. At every hospitalisation, she was diagnosed with prednisone-induced sub-ungual scabies [ I duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated i ]. Nail biopsy revealed scabies mites embedded deeply in the thick nail keratin. [Extracted from the article]
