- B Author Information b An event is serious (based on the ICH definition) when the patient outcome is: * death * life-threatening * hospitalisation * disability * congenital anomaly * other medically important event A 22-year-old woman developed thrombocytopenia during treatment with imatinib for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). Later, allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation was performed with post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PT-CY) from her HLA-identical sister. The dose of imatinib therapy was temporarily reduced to 200mg per day due to mild toxicity in the form of transient thrombocytopenia of 53 × 10 SP 9 sp /L [ I time to reaction onset not stated i ].
