Abstract
- The article focuses on Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) Transactions showing how industrial and systems engineering methods and tools can advise and impact real-world operations. Topics include the line of research was a response to the needs in airport security after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack, and the efficiency of handling large volumes of passengers and the effectiveness in stopping the true perpetrators from getting through security checkpoints.
