Abstract
- The article focuses on financial system of Afghanistan known as hawala and remittance which reckons gross domestic product (GDP) of the country. Topics discussed include use of hawala in Pakistan and India to avoid banks and presence of migrants, arrest of hawala merchants in Pakistan and India for evading countries' capital control and impact of covid-19 pandemic for hawala traders.
