Abstract
- The boundary control problem of an elastic thin plate with boundary viscoelasticity is formulated in the standard form of a linear infinite-dimensional system in the energy Hilbert space. The feedback control is designed so that the input and output are collocated. The frequency-domain approach is adopted in investigating the exponential stability of the closed-loop system. Finally, by considering the boundary viscoelasticity as damping, we establish a strong stability result based on the LaSalle invariance principle and the Hömander uniqueness theorem.
