Abstract

This paper proposes a fuzzy adaptive event-triggered control (ETC) design method for nonlinear systems with time-varying state constraints. Fuzzy logic systems (FLSs) is adopted to approximate the unknown smooth functions and the constraints are satisfied by using an appropriate asymmetric time-varying barrier Lyapunov function (BLF). The communication burden from the controller to the actuator is reduced by designing an appropriate ETC scheme. Finally, it is shown that the full-state constraints are not violated at any step of the backstepping design and the signals in the closed-loop system are bounded. The effectiveness of the proposed adaptive ETC scheme is verified by two simulation examples. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
