Abstract
- A discontinuous Galerkin time-domain (DGTD) method based on the current density equation in a 3-D case is proposed for the simulation of electromagnetic (EM) waves in magnetized plasma. In this article, two paths are given for the derivation of time-domain iteration formulas, auxiliary differential equation method for the current density equation (ADE-JE) and LT-JE. The implementation is explained in detail. The proposed algorithm avoids additional data storage and has a relatively high calculation speed, which makes it a powerful tool for magnetized plasma. The algorithm is validated by numerical examples, such as the Faraday rotation effect test and time-varying example. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
