Abstract

The article reports that role of teaching librarians has naturally evolved over the decades as information literacy (IL) has been defined, redefined, and conceptualized from a set of standardized skills to an interconnected group of understandings. It mentions leadership traits cultivated in the classroom and rely on as work to advance Il. It also mentions how teaching librarians can harness the competencies to develop through their daily work.
