Abstract

By using a mixed-ligand approach, a Co(II) coordination polymer (CP) with the chemical formula of [Co(L)(ip)·H2O]n (1, L = 1,3-bis(benzimidazol-1-yl)-2-propanol, H2ip = isophthalic acid) was synthesized under solvothermal conditions. Furthermore, to develop new candidates for cancer treatment, the treatment effect of the compound on the human cervical carcinoma cell line Hela was evaluated. First, the autophagy level of the Hela cell line after compound treatment was measured by flow cytometry. Then, the autophagic genes expression was detected by the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) determination. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
