Abstract
- The article examines several modern safety systems for automobiles. Topics discussed include the benefit of improvements in computer processing power to automobiles according to Jake Fisher of Consumer Reports Auto Test Center, development of augmented reality warning system by several automobile manufacturers and suppliers including Continental and Panasonic, and use of built-in sensors to detect oncoming bicycle or vehicle to prevent dooring accidents by Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
