Abstract

AbstractIn the present study, via applying the 2,4-di(2′,5′-dicarboxylphenyl)benzoic acid (H5L) as the organic linker, two new coordination polymers (CPs) with the chemical formulae of {[Co2(HL)(DMF)2(H2O)]·H2O}n (1) and {[Co2(HL)(bibp)(H2O)]·H2O}n (2) have been successfully prepared without or with the present of the second ligand 4,4′-bis(imidazolyl)biphenyl (bibp). Their application values on the renal failure during pregnancy was evaluated and the related mechanism was discussed at the same time. First of all, the viability of the renal tubular cells after compound treatment was measured with MTT (3-(4,5)-dimethylthiahiazo (-z-y1)-3,5-di-phenytetrazoliumromide) assay. In addition to this, the expression levels of the caspase-3 and caspase-8 was measured with western blotting assay. Compound 1 exhibited much more excellent treatment activity on the acute renal failure than compound 2. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
